Overview
Nicoya’s Alto SPR is a high-throughput benchtop SPR that provides high-quality binding kinetics and affinity data for a wide variety of glycomaterial interactions. The Alto SPR utilizes digital microfluidics (DMF) with nanotechnology-based biosensors to accurately control and manipulate discrete nanoliter-sized droplets through applying voltage on an array of electrodes.
Description
The Alto SPR features an end-to-end software suite built into the instrument, allowing us to remotely connect to and control the instrument. The Alto SPR uses DMF to precisely measure and analyze interactions, minimizing noise and dispersion while maximizing accuracy. Further, the analyses require only 2 µL of sample for a full kinetic profile, and are carried out using disposable microfluidic cartridges which significantly reduces the amount of cleaning and maintenance on the instrument. The Alto SPR also features fiber optic biosensors for enhanced sensitivity and accuracy during binding analyses.
Applications
The Alto SPR is capable of characterizing and screening kinetics and affinity, competition assays, concentration analysis, thermodynamics, and epitope mapping/binning of a wide array of glycomaterials including glycopolymers, glycoconjugates, nanoparticles, glycolipids and polysaccharides as well as antibodies, cells, nucleic acids, proteins, and viruses.
