GlycoMIP will offer services in three areas:
GlycoMIP – Synthesis will offer on-demand glycan synthesis using currently available automated technology.
GlycoMIP – Analytical will offer unique and expert analyses of molecular structure, interactions, and properties of glycomaterials.
GlycoMIP – Modeling will offer online atomistic modeling of carbohydrate 3D structures and provides input files for molecular dynamics simulations.
New equipment is being ordered and installed. Services are expected to be available starting in April 2021.

GlycoMIP user facilities at Virginia Tech will be housed in Steger Hall, a flagship building of the Fralin Life Sciences Institute.

GlycoMIP user facilities at the University of Georgia will be housed in the Complex Carbohydrate Research Center, a state-of-the-art research building dedicated to carbohydrate science
GlycoMIP’s national user facility is housed at Virginia Tech’s Fralin Life Sciences Institute in Blacksburg, VA and at the University of Georgia’s Complex Carbohydrate Research Center in Athens, Georgia. Services are available for researchers from industry, academia and government agencies, ranging from expedited sample and service requests to full-scale research projects. Contracts can also be arranged to support the proprietary research and development needs of private-sector users.
