Overview
Octet systems enable real‑time, label‑free analysis for determination of binding affinity, kinetic parameters, and antibody or protein quantitation. Based on Bio‑Layer Interferometry (BLI), this fluidics‑free instrument platform offers significant advantages over traditional label‑free techniques, including high‑throughput operation in a 384‑well format.

biomolecular interaction analysis.
Description
The 16‑channel high‑throughput Octet RED384 instrument provides label‑free molecular interaction analysis using a state‑of‑the‑art, high‑throughput platform that supports rapid characterization and development of synthetic and biological molecules.
The high detection sensitivity and throughput of the Octet RED384 system make it particularly well suited for small‑molecule library screening and analysis of large cross‑competition binding matrices. Target ligands can be batch‑immobilized onto biosensors and returned to the biosensor tray for reuse, extending biosensor lifetime, preserving valuable ligand material, and maximizing experimental flexibility.
Applications
Characterization of the binding affinity and kinetics of purified glycans or glycoproteins with receptor proteins or other glycans. Quantitation of IC50 and Ki values relevant to inhibitor design and development.
